God wishes for us to share our testimonies for various reasons including the following reasons:

*We encourage each other including future generations through our testimonies. 

They will come and declare His righteousness to a people
who will be born, that He has done this.
(Psalm 22:31.  New King James Version)

*God wants us to share our testimonies to give Him glory.

Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
(Psalm 96:3.  New King James Version)

*God wants us to acknowledge Him publicly as our helper:

I will speak of Your testimonies … and will not be ashamed.
(Psalm 119:46.  New King James Version)

*God does not want us to keep our testimonies to ourselves.  Rather, He wants us to be His ambassadors; and to use our testimonies to show other people what He can do.

… Jesus … said to him, “Go … and tell … what great things
the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”
(Mark 5:19.  New King James Version) 

*God wants us to use our testimonies to show that He is supreme and matchless.

That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God,
and that there is none else.
(I Kings 8:60.  King James Version)
